Orange & Ricotta Doughnuts

Arriving back to wintery Melbourne, after a week spent in the sunshine and high twenties, sent our bodies into a bit of shock.  I whipped up a batch of these orange & ricotta doughnuts to warm up the soul and our home.  These are delicious served hot with chocolate dipping sauce and a cup of coffee.  You can find the recipe here.  Enjoy xx

Key Lime Pie

With a tree bursting of Jamaican Limes I decided to make a Key Lime Pie. Florida's Key West is famous for it and every restaurant in the Florida Keys and Key West serves this wonderful pie. Recipe follows below xx

Twins

My friend Emma's best friend is lucky enough to be blessed with twin boys arriving in August. I was asked to help with some ideas to make her baby shower high-tea special, using a baby blue and white theme. I put together a little box of a few decorations, including: paper bunting, wishes for baby cards (as seen in this post here), heart-shaped cupcake toppers and food labels. I also included wooden pegs and twine in the box to create a makeshift clothesline to peg the two onesies and wishes for babies cards on.  Congratulations Falan, I hope you had a special day and wish you all the best with your little bundles x

Garden pea & herb soup with crispy bacon

This recipe is seriously so easy and perfect for a mid-week quick meal in this colder weather. It's ready to eat in less than 15 minutes! Adapted from this recipe here.

· 500g frozen garden peas
· Large handful of herbs, chopped – I used fresh parsley and basil
· 1 ½ cups water
· ½ cup fresh cream
· Sea salt and cracked black pepper
· 1/2 lemon squeezed
· Feta cheese and crispy bacon pieces to serve

Place the frozen garden peas, water and herbs in a pan over a low heat. Bring just to a simmer.

Turn the heat off, add cream, squeeze of lemon juice and blend the soup to a purée. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Serve in bowls with crispy bacon, crumbled feta cheese on top and warm crusty bread.

Wrapped

Sometimes we feel as though the wrapping around the present you are giving is just as special as the present inside.  We always love taking the extra time to make sure the paper is perfect and the ribbons are unique.  Here are a few of our presents we have wrapped.
